Khadi Exhibition - Day 1 (25-10-2023)

October 25, 2023 – The vibrant charm of Khadi took center stage on the opening day of the Khadi Exhibition at Seva Mandal Education Society. This grand event, inaugurated on the 25th of October, witnessed an illustrious gathering of esteemed guests and dignitaries who lent their support to this celebration of Indian heritage and sustainability.

The Seva Mandal Education Society, represented by its esteemed Board Members, Dr. Dilip Trivedi, President; Pravin Shah, Chairman; Dr. Bharat Pathak, Honorary Secretary; Atul Sanghvi, Honorary Treasurer; Vasant Khetani, Honorary Secretary; Hiren Shah, Vice Chairman; Mrs. Shilpa Shettigar, Principal of Smt. Sunanda Pravin Gambhirchand College of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences; and Mrs. Delphina Gaurav, Vice-Principal of Smt. Sunanda Pravin Gambhirchand College of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences, graced the occasion with their presence.

HWARF, the driving force behind the Khadi Awareness Campaign, was proudly represented by its dedicated trustee, Mrs. Christine Swaminathan. In a show of unwavering support, Mr. Yogesh Bhamare, Director of Khadi Village and Industries Commission (KVIC), also attended the event, emphasizing the government's commitment to promoting Khadi and traditional craftsmanship.

The first day of the exhibition was a visual delight, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship of local artisans and the timeless elegance of Khadi. Visitors were treated to a stunning array of Khadi products, each a testament to the legacy of this remarkable fabric. The event was also marked by the official launch of the Khadi Exhibition's Selfie Point, where attendees could capture their Khadi-inspired moments and stand a chance to win exciting prizes.
